Apart from the advantages, plate exchangers also have some disadvantages. Leakage seems to be the leading drawback of using plate exchangers. No doubt the gaskets are sealed tight, still, leakage issues arise. Other than leakage, temperature difference also causes problems to some extent. Temperatures vary in some heat exchangers and that’s the biggest drawback that people want to avoid these days.
